Helen'S Meringue - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg whites
1/2 to 3/4 c. cold water
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Set aside egg whites.
In cold water, stir in sugar and cornstarch until cornstarch is dissolved.
Cook on the stove until soft boil stage.
Set aside.
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar. Slowly add syrup mixture; beat until fluffy.
Spread over pies, puddings or cake.
