Meringue Topping - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy.
Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time; continue beating until stiff and glossy.
Meringue should be very stiff, but not dry.
Spoon evenly over top of filling of a 9-inch pie in an ovenproof glass or ceramic pie dish.
Attach to edge of crust so meringue will not shrink during cooking.
Do not spread too smooth.
Place pie on tray shelf in center position.
Cook with microwave at Medium (50%) for 3 to 4 minutes or until meringue is set.
Brown 4 to 5 minutes or until meringue is golden brown.
