Pumpkin Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    2 Tbsp. canned pumpkin
    1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1/4 tsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a medium saucepan, combine everything except vanilla.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is melted and mixture comes to a boil.
    Cook until a small amount dropped in cold water forms a soft ball (238\u00b0 on candy thermometer).
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat until creamy.
    Pour into a buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Cool until firm.
    Cut into squares.
