Beef Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew meat
    2 sliced onions
    1 c. water
    4 potatoes, peeled and sliced thin or cubed
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. sour cream
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 1/4 c. crushed cereal (corn flakes)
Preparation
    Brown meat and add water.
    Heat to boiling, then simmer for 50 minutes.
    Add onions the last 10 minutes.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Pour meat in a 9 x 13-inch dish.
    Arrange potatoes on top of meat.
    Stir soup, sour cream, milk, salt and pepper together.
    Pour over meat and potatoes.
    Sprinkle with cheese and cereal.
    Bake 1 hour.
