Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light cream
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Butter sides of a 3-quart pan.
    Combine sugar, cream and baking soda.
    Boil to soft ball stage.
    Remove from fire.
    Add 2 cups of pecans or walnuts.
    Beat until it begins to thicken. Using 2 tablespoons, make small mounds on wax paper.
    Remove when cool.
