Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. soft butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1/2 c. nuts
1 c. chopped dates
2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream butter, sugar and eggs together until fluffy.
Sift dry ingredients; add dates and nuts.
Add alternately with applesauce to butter and sugar mixture.
Mix thoroughly and pour into well greased 9-inch tube pan and bake at 225\u00b0 for 1 hour.
