Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 slice bacon
    2 Tbsp. diced onion
    1 can minced clams, undrained
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 small potato, peeled and diced
    1/2 c. water
    dash of pepper
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Reserve drippings.
    Saute onion in bacon drippings until tender.
    Set aside.
