Spicy Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. molasses
1/2 c. melted shortening
2 Tbsp. vinegar and boiling water to make 1 c.
Preparation

Sift flour, soda, salt and spices together.
Beat sugar, molasses and shortening into eggs.
Add dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
Add vinegar and water and stir until well blended. Pour into greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
