Dried Apple Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. dried apples, cooked
    2 tsp. soda
    4 c. flour
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 pt. preserves
    1 lb. red cherries
    1/2 lb. green cherries
    1 lb. candied pineapple (red and green)
    4 c. pecans
    2 c. dark raisins
    1 c. white raisins
Preparation
    Pour hot water over the raisins; let soak.
    Drain well before putting in cake.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs; beat well. Add dried apples and soda.
    Add flour and spices.
    Add preserves, candied fruit and raisins.
    Last, add nuts which have been rolled in flour.
    Cook at 275\u00b0 for 3 hours.
    Makes 3 or 4 layers or large tube pan.
