Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. butter or shortening
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 3/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
chopped nuts (as desired)
raisins (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
Grease tube pan or 2 loaf pans. Cream sugar and butter.
Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
Add applesauce and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients and add.
Fold in nuts, if using.
Turn into prepared pan(s).
Bake for 60 minutes or when center springs back to touch.
