Date Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. chopped dates
2 1/4 c. hot water
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. orange juice
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter

Preparation

Add chopped dates to hot water and cook until soft.
Let cool and add soda.
Stir.
