Angel Custard Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 beaten egg whites
    3/4 cup sugar
    3/4 cup lemon juice
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon rind, grated
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/4 cup water
    6 stiff beaten egg whites
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 large angel food cake
Preparation
    Make a custard of egg yolks, 3/4 cup sugar, lemon juice and rind.
    Cook over hot, not boiling water, until mixture coats the spoon.
    Remove from heat.
    Add gelatin softened in cold water. Fold in egg whites, beaten with 3/4 cup sugar.
