Strawberry Vinegar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. fresh strawberries, sliced
    1 c. white wine vinegar
    2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine strawberries and vinegar in a bowl, cover and let stand at room temperature 24 hours; stir occasionally.
    Strain mixture through cheesecloth and discard all seeds.
    Stir in sugar and bring to a boil.
    Remove from heat and let cool.
    Pour vinegar into decorative jars and seal.
    Yields about 2 cups.
    Serve over salads.
