Mary'S Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. real butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. walnuts
    1 c. pecans
    1 bottle cherries
    3 scant c. plain flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. blackberry jam
    1 c. seedless raisins
    1 c. fresh coconut
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Combine soda and buttermilk; add to mixture.
    Add other ingredients.
    Bake in 3 layers.
    Test with toothpick.
