Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
1/2 c. melted shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Mix liquid ingredients with egg beater. Pour liquid ingredients into sifted dry ingredients quickly.
Bake in hot pans (greased thoroughly) in a hot 425\u00b0 oven.
