Applesauce Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. raisins
    3/4 c. dates, cut up
    3/4 c. figs, cut up
    3/4 c. candied fruit
    2 c. applesauce
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar gradually with spices, creaming until light.
    Sift flour, soda and salt.
    Dredge fruit and nuts in 1/2 cup of the flour.
    Beat eggs until light.
    Add butter mixture.
    Mix flour mixture in; stir until well blended.
    Put in fruit, nuts and applesauce.
    Bake in a tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
