Bridal Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. oatmeal (not instant)
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
1 egg
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter, melted and cooled
Preparation

Soak oatmeal in buttermilk 1 hour.
Add egg and beat well. Add sugar and then flour, which has been mixed with other dry ingredients.
Mix well and add melted butter.
Bake in greased muffin pans in hot 400\u00b0 oven for 12 to 18 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Makes 1 dozen.
