Deep Dish Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 to 8 apples
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. water
1/2 recipe plain pastry
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Cut apples into thin slices.
Place in baking dish or a deep pie plate.
Sprinkle with mixture of sugar, salt and cinnamon. Pour water over filling and dot with butter.
Roll pastry to 1/8 inch thickness and place over apples.
Bake in hot oven (450\u00b0) for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 40 to 50 minutes, until apples are tender.
