Herring Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 large jar herring in wine sauce
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. sugar
1 bunch scallions sliced
1 small apple with skin, grated

Preparation

Drain herring, cut into small pieces.
DO NOT use onions from jar.
Mix with remaining ingredients.
Serve on crackers or cocktail rye.
