Peanut Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
48 kisses

Preparation

In large bowl, stir in flour, soda and salt; mix.
Add other ingredients, except candy; mix well.
Chill dough for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Roll dough into small balls.
Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten with fork.
Bake until light brown.
Remove and place kiss into the center of the cookie. Cool, then remove from cookie sheet.
