Hungarian Goulash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large onions, thinly sliced
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    1 tsp. salt
    1 to 2 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. vinegar
    2 lb. beef, cut in 1-inch cubes
    1 c. dry red wine
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil until tender.
    Add marjoram, salt and paprika.
    Add vinegar; mix well.
    Add meat and brown.
    Pour in wine; cover and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
    Add water sparingly while cooking.
    Serve with noodles.
    Makes 6 servings.
