Chocolate Angel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Crust:
    Beat egg whites with salt and cream of tartar until foamy.
    Add sugar (2 tablespoons at a time), beating well after each addition.
    Then continue beating
    to very stiff peaks.
    Fold in vanilla and nuts.
    Spoon into lightly greased 8-inch pie pan to form nest-like shell; build up sides to 1/2-inch above edge of pan.
    Bake in slow oven (300\u00b0) for 50 to 55 minutes.
    Turn off oven and let cool overnight.
