Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. shortening
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. plain flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 can coconut
    5 egg whites
Preparation
    Cream oleo, shortening and sugar; add egg yolks.
    Then add flour and soda alternately with buttermilk.
    Add vanilla, coconut and pecans.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
    Makes 3 layers.
