Busy Day Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. White Lily self-rising flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Grease and flour a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    In a mixer bowl, beat shortening on medium speed for 30 seconds.
    Add flour, sugar, milk, egg and vanilla.
    Beat with a mixer until blended.
    Beat 2 minutes; pour into pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
    Cool.
    Frost as desired.
