Candied Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 lb. cooked sweet potatoes
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 lb. brown sugar
1/2 c. white syrup
1/2 c. orange juice
dash of nutmeg
dash of cinnamon
Preparation

Slice cooked peeled potatoes lengthwise in 3/4-inch slices. Arrange in single layers in baking pan.
Melt margarine in saucepan.
Stir in brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, syrup and orange juice.
Cook over low heat until sugar dissolves and syrup is formed, stirring constantly.
Pour over potatoes.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes, basting occasionally.
