Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. light corn syrup
2 egg whites
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Combine 2 1/2 cups sugar, syrup and 1/4 cup water in saucepan. Boil until mixture spins a long thread.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Add remaining sugar gradually.
Pour boiling syrup over egg whites in thin stream, beating until mixture stands in peaks. Add nuts and pour into buttered platter.
Cool.
Cut into squares.
