Indian Fry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. plain flour
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
    salt to taste
    1/4 c. shortening
    warm water (can add dry milk, enough to make soft dough)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Work dough.
    Pinch and roll 2-inch ball.
    Stand 5 minutes on board.
    Roll flat with rolling pin.
    Prick with fork.
    Fry in hot deep shortening.
    Cook quickly for 5 seconds.
    Turn once and cook 5 seconds on other side.
