Ingredients

9-inch single crust pie shell
1 qt. strawberries, rinsed and hulled
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
Preparation

Bake pie shell at 475\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Simmer 1 cup strawberries and 2/3 cup water about 3 minutes.
Blend sugar, cornstarch and remaining 1/3 cup water.
Add to boiling mixture. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Cool.
Spread cream cheese over bottom of cooled, baked pie shell.
