Sausage Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 to 2 ribs celery, finely chopped
    1 green pepper, finely chopped
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. sausage roll
    1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    1 to 2 cloves minced garlic
    1/4 tsp. each: basil and thyme
    cayenne or Tabasco sauce to taste
    1 c. rice
    2 1/2 c. chicken stock
Preparation
    In a large skillet, melt butter.
    Saute onion, celery and green pepper until soft.
    Add sausage until browned and crumbly. Add mushrooms, garlic and spices.
    Cook about 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in rice.
    Add stock.
    Boil.
    Reduce heat to simmer and cook until liquid is absorbed, 20 to 25 minutes.
    Serves 4 to 6.
