Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. white corn meal
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 medium onion, chopped
water (to make batter too thick to pour, not thick enough to pick up with fingers)

Preparation

Sift all dry ingredients.
Add milk and water.
Mix and drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat.
Very good with fried fish.
