Lemon Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. water
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    3 Tbsp. lemon peel
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    2 drops yellow food color (optional)
    meringue for 9-inch pie
Preparation
    Bake pie crust.
    Cook all other ingredients together until thick, being careful not to let it stick.
    Remove from heat and pour in shell.
    Spoon meringue onto hot pie, sealing edges to prevent shrinking.
    Bake until delicate brown, about 10 minutes.
