Ingredients

3 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/2 c. lemon juice
Preparation

Combine boiling water and sugar, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Let cool.
Add lemon rind and juice.
Pour mixture into a 9-inch square pan; freeze until firm.
To serve, let mixture stand at room temperature 10 minutes.
Yields 4 cups.
