Fresh Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sliced peeled peaches (cover with 1/2 c. sugar)
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Place butter in 8 x 8-inch casserole dish or pan in heated oven until melted.
    Make batter with flour, sugar, baking powder and milk.
    Pour over melted butter.
    Spoon peaches over top of batter; add any juice.
    Do not stir.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
