Old Fashion Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 or 4 lb. pot roast
    salt and pepper
    a little white all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. red cooking wine
    1/2 c. water
    2 medium onions
    6 carrots, peeled and cut in large pieces
    6 medium potatoes, peeled and cut in half
    1 Tbsp. mustard
Preparation
    Brown the meat in the flour with salt and pepper.
    Spread the mustard over it and place in a heavy pan.
    Pour the wine and water over it.
    Cover and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    If it gets dry, add a little more wine and water.
    About an hour before it is done, add the vegetables.
    When the vegetables and roast are done, remove to a platter and make gravy with the juices.
    This is a real family meal that is a winner.
    Serves 6 to 8.
