Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick butter or oleo
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    1 can pie cherries or any other sweetened fruit (fresh or canned)
Preparation
    Melt butter or oleo in a 9 x 9-inch baking dish or pan.
    In a bowl mix the sugar, flour, baking powder and milk; pour this over melted butter.
    Do not stir.
    Pour one can of pie cherries or any other sweetened fruit.
    Do not stir.
    Sprinkle sugar over top. Bake 1 hour in 325\u00b0 oven.
