Stir-Fry Cabbage And Shredded Meat Or Poultry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. Chinese cabbage
    1 (12 oz.) can bamboo shoots
    1/2 lb. lean pork or boneless chicken breast
    2 Tbsp. dark soy sauce
    1/2 c. peanut, vegetable or corn oil
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Separate leaves of cabbage and cut one leaf at a time into thirds.
    Pile the thirds atop one another and slice lengthwise into fine shreds about 2 inches long.
    Drain bamboo shoots; drop into boiling water and simmer 5 minutes to remove canned flavor. Drain, cool and slice into thin strips like the cabbage.
    Thinly slice and shred the pork or chicken.
    Place into bowl with soy sauce, stirring to coat.
