Cabbage Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes (stewed or diced)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1/4 c. bacon fat
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Combine ingredients in a heavy saucepan.
    Cover and simmer approximately 45 minutes.
    Serve hot.
    Yummy with biscuits.
