Tangy Green Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. lemon juice
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. cornstarch
4 whole cloves
1 medium red Delicious apple, cored and sliced
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans, drained
toasted, sliced almonds (optional)
Preparation

Combine lemon juice, sugar, butter, cornstarch, cloves, apple and onion in saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce comes to a boil.
Cover; reduce heat and simmer 6 to 8 minutes or until apple and onion are tender, stirring occasionally.
Add beans; heat through.
Sprinkle with toasted, sliced almonds, if desired.
Serves 4.
