Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, sprinkled with 3 tsp. sugar
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
    8 slices bacon, fried and in pieces or use bacon bits
    2 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
    6 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
Preparation
    Break lettuce in pieces and make a layer in size dish you want to use. Add a layer of each ingredient (except eggs) as listed and repeat. Top with sliced eggs. Nice and crunchy.
