Fried Sweet Puffs Bunuelos - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
canola oil for deep frying
cinnamon and sugar for coating
Preparation

Sift flour; measure and sift again with salt, baking powder and sugar.
Add butter; with fingers mix until mixture is coarse. Mix eggs with milk and add to mixture.
Stir until soft solid dough.
Turn onto lightly floured surface.
Knead until smooth. Shape into balls slightly larger than marbles.
Let stand 15 to 20 minutes.
Roll each ball out into a thin circle; cut center out with thimble.
Deep fry until puffy and brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
Roll in sugar and cinnamon and serve. Makes 5 dozen.
