Vegetable Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 large onions
1 medium cabbage
10 green tomatoes
12 green peppers
6 sweet red peppers
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 c. pickling salt
6 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
1 Tbsp. celery seed
6 c. vinegar
Preparation

Using a coarse blade, grind onions, cabbage, tomatoes and peppers.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
Sprinkle with pickling salt and let stand overnight. Rinse and drain well. Combine sugar, vinegar, mustard seed, celery seed and turmeric. Pour over vegetables.
Heat over medium heat until vegetables are transparent.
Pour into sterilized jar and process in hot water bath 10 minutes.
