Pecan Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream together the shortening and brown sugar.
    Beat the egg and add to mixture.
    Add pecans, vanilla, salt and flour sifted with baking powder.
    Spread evenly in an 8 x 8-inch greased and floured pan.
    Bake for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool and cut into sticks.
