Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 heaping c. thinly sliced cucumbers
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1 1/2 to 2 green peppers, thinly sliced
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
Preparation
    Sprinkle 1 heaping tablespoonful salt over cucumbers, onions and green peppers and place in refrigerator for 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally.
    Drain completely.
    Add sugar and vinegar.
    Let stand at room temperature until dissolved.
    Store in refrigerator, covered.
