Chocolate Chip Cottage Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 small pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
    Stir in chips.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes in an 8 x 8-inch square pan.
    Serve warm with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
    Spray or grease pan.
    Serves 6 to 9.
