Favorite Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. diced onion
    4 packets instant chicken broth
    4 garlic cloves, minced
    1 1/2 c. green beans
    1 1/2 c. carrots, sliced
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 can chopped tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    1/2 tsp. basil leaves
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 c. water
Preparation
    In a 3-quart pan, combine diced onion, instant chicken broth and garlic cloves; cook on medium until onion is translucent, stirring.
    Add green beans, carrots, sliced celery, chopped tomatoes, chopped fresh parsley, basil leaves and pepper; stir in well.
    Cover; cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
    Add water; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat to medium. Cover; cook until vegetables are soft, approximately 20 minutes. Makes 7 to 8 servings.
