Boiled Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. water
2 c. raisins
3/4 c. lard
2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour

Preparation

Mix first 7 ingredients and boil for 3 minutes and cool.
Add baking soda and flour; bake.
