Old Fashioned Creamy Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. milk
    1/2 c. rice
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Bring to a boil 4 cups milk, sugar and rice.
    Add the rice that has been rinsed well.
    Simmer slowly, covered.
    Cook for about 1 hour on low heat.
    Pour into a greased 9-inch casserole. Add the remaining 1 cup milk and vanilla.
    (Raisins may be added if desired.)
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven until the skin on the pudding is browned.
    Allow to cool.
