Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (4 oz.) pkg. (2 envelopes) chicken noodle soup mix
1/2 c. uncooked regular rice
2 c. boiling water
1 lb. mild pork sausage
2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green peppers
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 (2 oz.) jar diced pimento
1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
Preparation

Combine soup mix and rice in a 1 3/4-quart shallow casserole dish; add boiling water, stirring until soup mix is dissolved. Set aside. Combine sausage, celery, green pepper and onion in large skillet; cook until sausage is browned, stirring to crumble. Drain well. Add meat mixture, pimento and water chestnuts to soup mixture; stir well. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
