Southern Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Pillsbury pie crust
    strawberries (at least 2 qt.)
    1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar to taste
    whip cream (fresh or canned)
    1 stick butter
Preparation
    Roll pie crust out thin and cut in 1 x 3-inch strips.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Remove and immediately take stick of butter and swipe on hot crust.
    Cap and wash berries and slice thin slices.
    Add sugar to taste.
    At serving time place 3 to 4 pieces of crust in bowls and pour berries on top, adding whipped cream.
    Delicious!
