Hot Dog Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 green tomatoes
    6 red peppers
    12 green peppers
    4 c. cabbage, finely shredded
    4 c. onions, finely shredded
    1/2 c. salt
    4 c. vinegar
    6 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Grind or finely chop tomatoes and peppers.
    (I use my food processor.)
    Mix with cabbage and onions.
    Sprinkle with salt and let stand 4 to 5 hours.
    Drain and rinse.
    Add the six remaining ingredients.
    Mix well and bring to a boiling point.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Pour into jars and seal.
    Cold pack for 5 minutes. Opened jars keep for many weeks in the refrigerator.
